- Joining the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design you will be responsible for running the rd year/Level of the BA (Hons) Architecture programme leading and coordinating a team of fractional staff and visiting tutors, to help consolidate the recently internally revalidated architecture curriculum reporting directly to the Course Director.We will look to you to ensure an excellent student experience through the use of relevant and inspiring learning, teaching, and assessment methods. You will also provide support and mentoring to individual students via our personal tutor system. You will lead an integrated design and technical studies studio.Other duties and opportunities will include assisting with cross School teaching and activities such as live project modules and superstudio, course administration, leading student trips, research or enterprise work, and contributing to our overseas teaching commitments with our international partner Institutes in Hong Kong and Malaysia, and a number of future potential partners. There are opportunities to contribute to research, enterprise and consultancy.Previous teaching experience is essential with level / year leading experience highly desirable; industry experience is also welcomed. Excellent administrative skills are needed including the ability to multi-task.
