Learning Link Support Officer

Job Duties: The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance and coordination of support services for students with moderate to complex needs.They will be the central point of contact for tutors teaching on Special Educational Needs (SEN) vocational courses.The post holder will assess the additional support needs of students with Special Educational Needs and implement support strategies in line with the requirements of the student pathway.The post holder will be integrated into the wider Student Services team to support student activities and events. Qualifications / Experience: Applicants must have at least:Essential:A Level 4 qualification in any discipline; AndGCSE English (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication and GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent; AndTwo years relevant* employment experience; AndA current driving licence and access to a car (applicants with a disability who have been prevented from obtaining a driving licence due to their disability (as defined by the DDA 1995) are eligible to apply).*relevant defined as working with students with a range of learning difficulties/disabilities within a learning environment.If, as a direct result of a disability you cannot fully meet the essential experience requirement of the criteria for this post the College will waive this requirement.
