Landscaping and Installations Labourer

We are one of the largest outdoor online retailers in the UK in our product field and are currently seeking an Installer to join our team on a permanent basis due to our continued growth during 2020 and into 2021. We are based in Chobham and are a family run business who are growing rapidly, offering the opportunity to progress and develop within the business into other roles The Installer will join a team of 4 and will be required to work Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. In return you will receive a salary of up to £24k, paid overtime and other company benefits. This role is ideal for an ambitious candidate who wants an opportunity to develop their skill sets and become a central member of an established team. We have been established for over 15 years and distribute, as well as install our product across the whole of the UK. This role has the potential to grow within the business and transfer to a different role with the successful candidate having the opportunity to explore many areas of the business. Working alongside the Chief Installations Manager, working mainly across the South East, you will be responsible for the following:Driving the company vehicles (vans) to and from the job (with or without a trailer)Excavating and removal of soil for trampoline installation – includes the barrowing of soil into skipsMainly hand digging but possibly using the mini diggerAssembly of equipmentSome “light” landscaping (relaying of turf)Some “heavier” landscaping work – removal of soil, concrete etc.Assist in the building of bespoke wooden climbing framesUnloading and loading of containersPreparing UK orders for despatch including labellingGeneral warehouse duties including cleaning on occasionYou will always be working alongside a team of installers. To be suitable for the Installations Assistant role,You must be able to drive a twin cab van and have previous experience in a labouring/landscaping/gardening role and be happy carrying out installations at various sites across the south east. Ideally you will have experience driving trailers and / or diggersIf you have experience working in garden maintenance, grounds work, landscaping or labouring then your skills would be transferable.You will have good general PC skills and be happy working occasional weekends or overnight stays.You will possess good customer service skills in order to communicate with our customers on site. Candidates will need to be used to working outdoors and will need a certain level of strength and fitness for what can be a fairly physically demanding role.
