An experienced laboratory technician to join a Global company to work in new R&D laboratory. An experienced lab technician is sought to join a well-established R & D team at their new laboratory facility near Telford. Responsibilities will include: writing study plans, setting up bioassays and assessments, growing seeds and plants, seed testing and germination testing. High standards of data recording, and the maintenance of the laboratory resources, including living resources, will be essential. An appreciation of the principles of Good Laboratory Practice would be helpful but is not essential. This is a great career opportunity to take up a really interesting and varied laboratory role and will suit someone with a science background and a keen interest in plants and seeds. Candidate profile: Degree in Biology, Plant Science, Plant Physiology, or similar - preferred but not essential2-3 years’ experience in a laboratory base role.Good knowledge of plant biology and used to growing living lab resources including plants.Laboratory skills and experienceIT literate with understanding of statisticsWriting, communication and presentation skills.Collaborative and creative Salary: Competitive salary package and benefits.
