Inspection LeaderFunction: OperationsReporting to: Manufacturing DirectorLocation: HuddersfieldTo provide effective inspection leadership, quality and documentation control to the Large Machining Case Machining and Defence Machining departments.To be prepared to work as part of a team and develop the inspection process to ensure all parts are conforming.To have the desire to build a quality culture of right first time through structured processes and clear communication.To provide leadership and direction to the inspection team to ensure conformity of all parts prior to release from the machining areasTo take ownership of the inspection process including, in process samples, spot samples, end of process inspection and quality auditsMeticulous attention to detailTo develop the team to ensure inspection cover is available when required (Laser, CMM)To take ownership and produce data for the K.P.I boardsTo generate, maintain, store and control recordsThe maintenance and creation of Standard Operating ProceduresTo liaise with Assembly & Engineering for all production processesTo liaise with customer and client inspectorsReview and interpret laser inspection dataReview and interpret CMM inspection dataRaise, investigate & support machine shop NCRsFARO Laser & CMM understandingAbility to train and educate root cause analysis techniques. Lead 7 Step InvestigationsExperience in the use of computer systems (preferably SAP and Microsoft Office suite)Experience of Standard Inspection Measurement practicesFamiliar with ISO 9001:2015
