Housing Support Assistant

VANRATH are recruiting a Housing Support Assistant for a Public Sector organisation on a temporary basis. The post holder will actively engage communities in making sense of the issues which affect their lives, setting goals for improvement and responding to problems and needs through engagement and active participation. A key point of contact for tenants and residents the post holder must be flexible in their work and attitude and co-operate with their colleagues to ensure the efficient, effective and economic operation of the service. Completion of administrative tasks will also be requried within the role. Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a current driving license and have access to your own vehicle, as travel will be required throughout the Greater Belfast area.The Ideal Person:5 GCSE’s or equivalent to include English and Maths (at a minimum of Grade C)6 months experience of working within a housing environmentAwareness of issues impacting on communitiesIT literate with extensive practical experience of Microsoft OfficeA current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport*(*applicants without a full driving licence should have access to a form of transport to enable them to meet the nature and requirements of the post)Ability to communicate and listen with good written and oral communication skillsReliability with good organisation skills and the ability to undertake multiple tasksFlexible approach to working hoursEmpathy with communities and customer focusedGood interpersonal and team working skillsDesirable:Knowledge of social housingAwareness of property maintenance issuesRemuneration: A competitive hourly rate of £10.
