REED Engineering are delighted to be working with a national organisation to source a Plant Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis.On offer for this role is a generous salary of up to 35,000 per annum.This is a Monday-Friday role with Saturday morning shifts as and when necessary.As the Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the general maintenance of all plant machinery on site.The vast majority of this will be heavy plant.Therefore, candidates from a background such as construction will be at an advantage.Other duties of the role will include, but not be limited to -Inspection of heavy plant to identify faults and general maintenance requirementsRegular liaison with the General Manager and Plant Operators to advise on faults and maintenance requirementsAssess timescales for repair and maintenance requirementsAlongside maintenance and labourer personnel, carry out repairs whilst ensuring downtime is kept to a minimumSupervision of on-site contractors where applicableOrdering of spare components to ensure critical spares are readily availableWriting and providing of weekly maintenance reports To be suited for this role, we are sourcing candidates who -Are a time-served Plant Mechanic/FitterHave vast experience of dealing with heavy plant within industries such as construction, quarrying, steel manufacturing, paper mills etc.Have experience of welding (desirable) If you, or anyone you know would be suited to this role, please forward your up-to-date CV, salary expectations and notice period If applying directly by e-mail, please ensure you answer all of the qualifying questions listed below.Are you a time-served Plant Mechanic/Fitter?Are you based within a commutable distance to Inverkeithing?Do you have a notice period?Have you maintained heavy plant within an industry such as construction?Have you experience of welding?
