Health and Safety Construction consultantUp to £36k + car / allowanceMidlands / LondonA well-established leading health and safety consultancy are looking for a self-driven health and safety construction professional to be home based and travel to sites throughout the UK.Job OverviewYou will be hardworking professional Health & Safety Consultant with a high level of technical knowledge and experience, gained within the construction sector. You will have the ability to build strong relationships with your clients and deliver a high quality, cost effective consultancy service. Ideally you will be a chartered member of The Institution of Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesTo visit clients premises for the purpose of carrying out agreed contractual work.Undertake health and safety audits of client's sites in accordance with company protocols and contract requirements.Submit any relevant reports or other such associated documents in accordance with client demands.Advise and instruct clients in the use of Health and Safety Management systems.Advise clients on matters of Health and Safety standards and best practice affecting their business.Assist clients with accident or other special investigations as required.Attend company meetings, courses etc. when required to update and maintain professional skills/knowledge.Experience / QualificationsYou will have health and safety construction experience in a similar role.An advantage but not essential some experience with delivering Principal Designer services.An advantage but not essential some experience with ISO45001You can demonstrate excellent skills in managing client relationships and able to offer practical solutions to clients utilising technical knowledge of Health and Safety.You will hold one the following professional memberships; CMIOSH, GradIOSH, MIIRSM, CIEH, whilst candidates with associate memberships or NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent will also be considered.In return they offer a competitive package up to £36k plus car allowance, 28 days holiday, pension and other flexible benefits.
