Job Details Handyman /Mobile Fabric Technician Mobile role covering Portsmouth / Southampton areasTemporary - permanent8.00am - 5.00pmStarting ASAP -£13.50 - £16.35 DOETo work within Facilities services and undertaking a number of general maintenance support, to inculde, Fabric Maintenance, Fire Detection, Fighting and Protections Systems and BMS. As well as Pre-planned Maintenance and Reactive repairs and maintenanceMain DutiesLamp changingFan coil cleaningTap flushing and temperature testingFire alarm testingAssistance with small-scale furniture movesReplacement of floor tiles and cleaningReplacing lampsRe-grouting and de-scaling in washrooms, showers and toiletsSmall painting projects to communal areas and client officesReplacement ad repair of door furniture, including door closuresMinor repairs to plumbing and accessoriesMaintenance and repair in kitchenettes and communal areasWhere radiators are present, bleed and check operation of TRVsYou will be on call and assist with helpdesk queriesThe idea candidate will have:Carpentry/building/general qualifications in building servicesHold a recognised health and safety qualification, or be prepared to be trained.Good knowledge and experience of MEP services and recognised fabric repair techniquesIPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machinesA basic understanding of the L8 ACOP, or be prepared to be trained for.
