On the lookout for a long-term contract?If so, Moxie People is currently supporting a Housing Association in Blaenau Gwent that are on the lookout for an experienced Gas and Plumbing Engineer to help provide an effective, compliant and safe maintenance service to all of their tenants & customers.The gas heating and plumbing engineer’s role will see you undertaking landlord gas safety checks, completing repair and installation work to hot and cold water and central heating systems along with general plumbing work within a range of occupied and void properties including communal areas, and commercial properties. Along with this, the Gas Engineer will also be responsible for fault finding and general boiler repairs and Plumbing works including installation, investigation, problem solving, and fault finding.As the Gas Engineer will be managing their own workload and diaries, previous experience with repairs and maintenance on domestic plumbing and heating systems, installing boilers and central heating systems and building repairs and maintenance in a social housing or local authority the environment is essential, along with the following training: * NVQ level 2 or higher * CCN 1 (Gas Safety) * CEN 1 or CENWAT (Gas boiler install service and commission) * HTR 1 Gas fires * CPA 1 Gas flue analyser * MET1 Gas Metres * CKR1 CookerThe contract's initially being offered on a 12-month basis and there’s a strong potential that the role will lead to a permanent position.
