We are currently recruiting for Gardening Assistants to work for a local organisation based in Wellington, Somerset to provide additional support throughout the Spring and Summer season. You will be working alongside an experienced and close knit team who will provide training and support to help you learn and develop. The role will be working as part of the Open Spaces department in the Taunton, Wellington and surrounding areas looking after and maintaining open spaces and green areas. This position is working on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. Key Responsibilities will include:Grass CuttingHedge TrimmingPlanting out of seasonal plantsWhite Line PaintingLitter PickingEmptying BinsEmptying Dog Waste BinsCleaning Communcal AreasOpening and Closing Communal ToiletsMainitaining and repairing playground equipementOther duties as and when requiredSuccessful candidates will ideally have previous gardening or grounds maintenance expeirence, you will need experience in using ride-on lawn mowers and gardening tools as well as be customer focus and able to comminucate with members of the public with matters of concern. A valid and indate UK driving license is required for this role as you may be required to drive company vehicles or your own vehicle to multiple sites and location across the local area. Previous experience driving vehicles with trailers will also be beneficial.Hours of work are 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday and rate of pay is £10.50 per hour
