Fitter/ Production Support

Job Duties:To effectively, build, fit out and test all products to the required quality and timescale and in accordance with the job specification/drawings and works order. To provide effective and efficient mechanical maintenance and service on customer's sites when required.Responsibilities:Build equipment/Assemble/Fit out and finish products as per drawing/specification within the specified timescale ensuring machinery is built to the company's high standard.Service / Product support - Inspect refurb/for repair machines and take appropriate action to bring the machines' condition/functionality to the current or required standardConduct final inspections and resolve any problems identified.Test products to ensure fully operational before delivery.Liaise with design team and operations manager.Operation of press brake, guillotine and plasma.Hydraulic assembly - plant maintenance.Electrical system assembly & fault diagnosis.Qualifications / Experience:Key Attributes:Mechanical background Mechanical knowledge- repairing machinery & assembly.Lateral thinker and ability to work on own initiative.Fault finding and diagnosis.Problem solving skills with a can do attitude.Attention to detail.Essential:Must have previous experience of 2 years working with or assembling moving machinery such as motors, gear boxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.Full UK Drivers Licence. Flexible working hours will be required at short notice for product support.Desirable:Previous experience of assembling/working with agricultural or heavy plant equipment.Basic electrical knowledge of wiring machinery and equipment.Welding experience.Ideally be time served / completed apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer.Spray Painting.Good communicational (oral, reading and writing) skills.PC Literate - MS Word / MS Excel, CNC Plasma nesting package.Forklift licence.
