Field Service Engineer - Process Control Instrumentation

Do you have experience servicing, commissioning and/or repairing process control instrumentation? What you need to have: Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation of controlRecognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years' Process Control experienceA flexible approach to working activitiesExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to develop good working relationships with customersA full UK driving licence What you will get in return Starting salary between £30-35k dependent upon experience 5% bonus Company Car Overtime opportunities to supplement your income Other flexible benefits The Role To commission, calibrate and repair onsite instrumentationTo work in all industries within the Company customer databaseTo liaise with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their dutiesTo liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and also to advise estimated time of arrival and of any delays which may be anticipatedTo adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessmentsTo work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management systemTo man the 24-hour technical helpline according to the roster set by the Service CoordinatorsRequirement to travel throughout the UK, overseas and possibly offshorePeriods of absence from home will be expected from time to time which will include overnight stays in hotelsProvide services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services ManagerTimely and accurate job reporting in accordance with the Company service report forms Cordant PEople (Engineering) will contact all applicants that meet the 'what you need to have' criteria ASAP Cordant Group is an equal opportunities employer
