This role is for an Estimator with experience in passive fire, fire doors and building works looking to join a leading contractor that offers excellent rewards and career development opportunities. Requirements:-Main duties* Working on a variety of large and small scale bid proposals.* Officed based (Welwyn Garden City) with occasional travel to site* Liaise with the projects and operational teams on bids & tenders* Deliver survey and bid work. Completing quantity take-offs.Experience/ Qualifications required: * Estimating experience for passive fire, fire doors and building works experience is essential * Quantity take-offs experience * Have a relevant QS/Construction Qualification (highly desirable but not essential) * Survey and pricing up experience * Bill of quants experience * Schedule of rates experience * Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a UK main contractor within the Passive Fire Protection sector * Ability to measure accurate quantities from drawings * Good understanding of commercial issues relating to tenders
