Engineering Technician

The RoleWe are looking for a talented and experienced multi skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. In this electrical bias role, you will assist with the maintenance of production machinery and factory. This will be a day working role with opportunity to provide shift cover. This role reports to the Engineering Supervisor.Role Responsibilities• Routine maintenance• Fault finding• Repair work• Installation work• Provide breakdown & maintenance cover on varied range of equipment • Assist with maintenance of production machinery and factory servicesKey Skills & Qualifications• Time served with relevant qualifications • HNC / ONC Mechanical / Electrical Engineering • NVQ level 3 or equivalent Mechanical / Electrical Engineering • 17th Edition (preferred) • Strong fault diagnosis skills on industrial electrical control systems • Ability to read Mechanical / Electrical drawings • Knowledge of AC and DC variable speed drive systems • Knowledge of invertors / PLC / Servo drives • Experience of electrical installation work • Experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment• Worked with high speed rotating belt / chain driven machinery • Ability to adapt to different tasks as defined by work demands• A good team playerClosing Date – 31st January 2020.
