Corin is seeking an Engineering Manager – Product and Continuous Improvement to lead and deliver continuous improvement activities and maintain existing products.Corin is a medical device business with innovative robotically assisted platforms for joint replacement surgery. Lead and motivate a team of Design and Production engineers who will maintain existing products and lead continuous improvement activities within Production. Ensure safety and performance standards are maintained for existing products and maintain a high standard of regulatory compliance of Design History Files and Risk Management Files Deal with product and process related complaints and lead CAPA projects where required. Lead cross functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing engineers) in the UK and overseas. You will be leading a team of highly skilled Engineers who are responsible for Ensuring changes to products and processes are managed effectively considering impact on patient safety and device performance while delivering operational excellence. Anticipating and responding to quality and manufacturing KPI’s to identify and implement improvements to existing products and processes. Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including product drawings, process routes, inspection plans and bill of materials. Creating and maintaining ‘state of the art’ medical device Design History and Risk Management files and responding according to regulatory submissions and audit requirements. Operating within Corin quality system to produce and improve procedures & work instructions and delivering associated training Working within ISO13485 to GMP requirements and following industry best practice. Leading and applying Six Sigma methodology RequirementsThe ideal Engineering Manager - Product and Continuous Improvement will have. BS/MS degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (Bioengineering preferred) Understanding of the biomechanical and biosafety implications of product and process changes on the safety and performance of medical devices. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams with strong communication skills and influence effectively across various levels of the business. Comprehensive problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to construct improvement action plans. Highly compliant in ISO13485, follows set processes / procedures and holds high values and principals. Can demonstrate an understanding of Process validation Manufacturing engineering Compiling and using design and process FMEA’s Previous experience in an Operational, Engineering and Continuous Improvement role in a regulated environment e.g., Healthcare, Aerospace.
