Electronics Technician

Role: Electronics Technician (Laboratory Technician)LocationCongleton Pay rate: £12-£17p/h (dependent on experience) Duration: Until 30/09/2021 - potential for extension Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 36.25 hours, flexi time offered Who are we looking for?We are looking for a person who is passionate about supporting engineering, design and test related tasks and wants to apply their knowledge and experience in an electrical laboratory environment, whilst at the same time having the curiosity to seek out new ways of doing things and be open to learning and growing as a person.You should ideally hold minimum a BTEC L3 in electrical engineering, and ideally have knowledge of low voltage power or electronics.A base requirement for your experience is good soldering skills, knowledge in cable assemblies including cable crimping and mechanical skills like drilling and assembly.Also, being able to demonstrate capability to learn, diversity of thinking and an excellent work ethic, including working with cross functional teams are extremely important to be successful in this role.Key duties includeSMD soldering and reworkTHT (e.g. large components) soldering and reworkManufacture cable assembliesBuild up prototypes and interface to production for sample buildsPlan and prepare electrical test setups and installation for testing of new and existing productsSetup of test benches and all related test environmentBuild up and maintain motor test rigsIntensive collaboration and information exchange with the respective development projectsCoordinate laboratory maintenance with facilitiesOrganise/Maintain laboratory storage & suppliesOrder stock and non-stock itemsSkills& CompetenciesMinimum of BTEC L3 in electrical engineering or relevant and demonstratable work historyGood soldering skills of SMD / THT ComponentsKnowledge in cable assemblies including cable crimpingKnowledge of measurement and test methodsPast experience working in a test laboratory is desirableMechanical Skills (Drilling, Assembly)Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)Show initiative, organise your work, take ownership of your tasksAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
