Electrical Maintenance TechnicianDalinlongart, Dunoon, Argyll and Bute£30,000 paPermanent Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00  We have an opportunity Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team, delivering electrical and mechanical maintenance services to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, Composting Facilities and our other facilities in Argyll and Bute (Dunoon, Oban, Lochgilphead, Campbletown, Rothesay). Working on a diverse range of waste processing equipment and facilities, the role includes preventative and reactive work and supporting with projects. Main responsibilities include:Ensure the plant is always maintained within Health, Safety and Environmental standards and procedures, reporting any poor practices.Execute planned maintenance activities (inspections, monitoring and routine) and provide feedback to allow improvement to the job plans and task lists.Carry out reactive maintenance (corrective maintenance).Work with the site operations in the prioritisation of reactive maintenance work.Support Maintenance improvement initiatives, Operational improvement initiatives, Capital and Lifecycle replacement programme.Maintain maintenance document and drawings to the required standard.Share waste process and maintenance knowledge with other team members.Maintain a safe working environment through good standards of housekeeping and hazard identification.Provide holiday and sickness cover shifts, as required, to ensure adequate levels of maintenance cover to support operational requirements. Qualifications & Experience RequiredAn electrical qualification at NVQ, ONC/OND or HNC/HND level.Qualified to IET 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.Experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment.Good working knowledge on electrical installations, electrical testing, lighting maintenance, in service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, industrial switchgear, EMC, lighting protection, building services, LEV and control systems.Strong fault diagnosis and rectification on control systems (PLCs, SCADA etc) and electrical systems and circuitsCompetent in the use of testing equipment and other hand tools used in maintenance activities.The ability to read electrical drawingsGood people skills and be able to communicate electrical / technical content to non-technical people.Good numeracy and written skills for the role.Full driving licence, as travel between sites is required (company vehicle provided) Renewi BenefitsIn addition to a competitive basic salary, Renewi offer the following benefits:34 days annual leaveUp to 6% Company Contributory Pension SchemeUp to 4 times salary Life AssuranceOptions to purchase shares through a Sharesave arrangementEnhanced sick pay policyCycle to work schemeAbout RenewiRenewi PLC is a leading waste-to-product business ideally positioned to be part of the solution to some of the main environmental problems facing society today: reducing waste, avoiding pollution, and preventing the unnecessary use of finite natural resources.The UK Services Division of Renewi PLC employs approximately 600 employees over 30 locations and collectively we handle more than 1.97 million tonnes of waste annually, achieving a 73% recycling and recovery rate.As a Group, Renewi PLC employs approximately 6,500 employees over 162 locations in 6 countries in Europe.
