EHS Associate

Position Summary: Join the busy site EHS team on an expanding, Bioproduction site to assist in implementing, improving and maintaining EHS program, complying with regulations & permits and helping to meet safety & sustainability goals.Key Objectives of the role: Assist with the day to day maintenance & monitoring of site EHS management system and LSG EHS Achievement program. Also to help make improvements.Identify and participate EHS sustainability/ productivity initiatives on site to help reduce waste, energy or water and encourages reuse of resources.Assist in the delivery and improvement of effective EHS training programs for employee groups.Carry out and coordinate periodic inspections & audits to ensure that EHS standards are routinely met.Assist with accident, near miss and hazard ID investigations and root cause analysis.Track internal EHS metrics/data and report to site and LSG global EHSAssist with statutory EHS compliance reporting.Member of site emergency response and incident management team .Work collaboratively with EMEA and global EHS networks in sharing best practice, incidents, and working towards regional & global EHS goals.May be required to perform other related duties as required to support the site EHS, EMEA or global EHS teams.Minimum Qualifications (must have):Requires professional EHS training to NEBOSH national general certificate or equivalent as a minimum.Requires excellent communication skills and ability to interact and collaborate with others at all levels in the organization.Relevant experience, a good working knowledge of EHS regulationsAbility to handle multiple tasks with minimum supervision and execute on goals and objectives.Preferred Qualifications (nice to have): Ideally a bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering subject,Some experience with hazardous chemicals and safe behavior programs would be usefulAn interest in the environment and sustainability.This position (has/has not) been approved for Relocation Assistance.
