Director of Estates

6 - 8 month fixed term contract for a director of estates, total estates function and change management Your new company You will be working for an excellent public sector organisation in Bath offering an exciting opportunity within their estates team to provide dynamic support to a wide sector of estates, implementing a strong focus on maintenance, change management and strategic leadership. Your new role As a director of estates you will be working on a 6 - 8 month fixed term contract in Bath. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time playing a vital role in refocusing resources within the estates team. Leadership of the estates function will fall on a day to day basis to the leadership team and the deputy director of estates, within this role you will have a strong focus on change management, with the ability to reshape the estate function and making recommendations for the future. You will also contribute at a strategic level to the operational review of estates and look particularly at the estate programme managing key project.What you'll need to succeed To be successful as a director of estates we will be looking for the following skills: Experienced senior manager who can combine strategic awareness and innovation with a sound understanding of how to deliver a focused service.Degree in relevant field and/or a relevant professional qualification OR significant demonstrable equivalent experience in an estates environmentEstablished track record in high level strategic estate portfolio managementExperience of leading successful change programmesHigh level strategic planning and organisational skills, including forward planning, forecasting and delivering agreed strategic goalsExperience of successfully managing staff, with a well developed leadership style with skills and a clear passion for developing motivated staffExcellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to convey information to a wide range of internal/external stakeholdersDiplomacy, influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to work with Academic and professional services staff to persuade and inspire collaborative working to ensure strategic priorities are achievedA commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
