Job descriptionA career in our Corporate Finance Infrastructure & Government (I&G) team will provide you with the opportunity to work with a wide range of government bodies, corporates and investors on the structuring, financing and delivery of major infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. We provide strategic, financial and commercial advice to clients on projects which span a range of sectors including health, real estate, transport, education, central government, energy and utilities. As a result of the team’s current activity levels and future anticipated levels of deal flow, I&G is now seeking to further expand its Belfast team through the recruitment of a number of new Associates.This role represents an exceptional opportunity for you to move into I&G, to gain immediate exposure to transactional activity on major infrastructure projects within a strong team of experienced advisors and support the wider I&G business nationally. You will benefit from a comprehensive initial training package delivered by experienced members of our team, alongside the opportunity for you to access the wider I&G Learning and Development curriculum.ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate within the team you will have the opportunity to work and gain experience across a number of different sectors and geographies. Specific responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Financial modelling and analysisProject work on live projects and transactions, supporting senior staffBusiness case development, investment and options appraisal analysisEstablish effective working relationships with team members and clientsProactive business development activities including identification and targeting of opportunitiesPreparation of presentations and pitch documentsManaging project risk and quality tasks and engagement administration The IndividualThe ideal individuals will be able to demonstrate a sustained level of high performance within the firm to date, a strong academic track record, as well as a clearly articulated reason for wanting to join I&G at this stage in their career. The individual will also be expected to have strong communication, interpersonal and numerical skills. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:MS Excel and Powerpoint proficiencyFinancial modelling / data modelling experience (preferred, but not essential)Ability to apply new technologies to meet client requirementsStrong analytical skills and an ability to think laterallyAbility to grasp complex commercial issues quickly Demonstrable interest in infrastructure finance and public sector transactionsHigh ambition coupled with the ability to deliver and to work effectively both individually and in teamsAgility in terms of supporting multiple projects across a range of sectors and geographiesDeals Our Deals business is an exciting, fast-paced and an ever-growing business that focuses on deals and crisis situations for our clients.
