Construction Supervisor (Mechanical)

Location Falkirk INEOS FPS FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea. Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth. Job Purpose Reporting to the Maintenance and Planning Manager, the post holder will be responsible in leading the field execution of mechanical remediation work within the South Assets inclusive of repair orders, piping defects and steam leaks. Principle Accountabilities Deliver an integrated and cost effective SIPs service to the allocated FPS asset ensuring individual work packages are completed on time and within budget. Deliver repair WO’s/steam leak repairs/pipe repairs to achieve HSE goals and sanctioned cost, time and technical performance commitments by ensuring policies and expectations are in place and applied. Deliver repair programme in line with inspection repair orders, including Drafting HSE Plan, participation in constructability reviews and AFC pack. Organise construction kick off meetings, pre-mobilisation check lists, TQ’s/SI mgt and punching & completion activity including E&I certification procedures compliance. Deliver repair programme in accordance with generic asset specific procedures and interfaces such as inductions, incident reporting, adherence to site standards, review of method statements and interface with asset work control and planning. Ensure work is controlled safely and effectively managed including performance of daily site audits and safety audits plus lifting compliance. Conduct weekly progress meetings with planning and scheduling team. Organise and carry out assurance audits on site and any other provisions of the construction HSE plan or asset specific requirements. Lok-ring installer/inspector. Interface with steam trap vendor for surveys and repairs Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Extensive experience of Mechanical Supervision in the a Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industry 2-5 years working in 3rd Party Construction company and contractor management Understanding of cost and schedule management Technical knowledge relevant to own discipline including an understanding of legislative requirements. Able to understand cost and billing information to ensure fair and accurate billing and contract claim management Strong communication skills Understands commissioning processes and the relationship with construction and completion control. Permit to work and management of change knowledge. Expectation to work additional hours during site planned and unplanned events
