SITE SUPERVISOR - £18.00 Hour/PAYE The project will extract low grade heat from the River Tyne at Jarrow Staithes and utilise heat pump technology to distribute low carbon heat to a district energy network in Jarrow. Scope of Service The successful candidate will work full time on site to undertaking the role of Supervisor under the NEC ECC4 contract. STC will carry any duties of the NEC ECC Project Manager. The Supervisor will work up to a 48 hour week and attend site Monday to Friday. The Supervisor will typically not attend site during the working period on Saturday mornings unless specifically required to do so and agreed with reasonable notice. Essentially, the Supervisor's role is to check that the works are constructed in accordance with the Scope, the applicable law and, where necessary, the Contractors design which the Project Manager has accepted. The Supervisor role will be limited to: - Visually inspecting the works during the period of site attendance for compliance with the contract. - Undertaking tests and inspections as required by the contract. - Receipt of contractor's test certificates and records as required by the contract. - The notification of defects. - Recording daily site record sheets that will be issued to the Project Manager by email on a weekly basis. - Liaison with the project manager. - Receiving samples from the Contractor and notifying its acceptance or the reason for not accepting such samples. There will be a Client office provided as part of the Contractors site accommodation with a desk for the Supervisor. The Supervisor will be provided with a Council mobile telephone and laptop
