Construction Manager - Holmes Chapel - 12 Months - £40/£55 p/h Construction Manager - Holmes Chapel - 12 Months - £40/£55 p/h The work location is based in Holmes Chapel 12 Month Contract Pay rate is between £40 - £55 Per Hour Job Purpose To provide management of construction operations under the general direction of the Project Manager. Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and the achievement of construction quality, time, and cost objectives for assigned projects/activities as agreed with the project manager. Due to the nature of some project work, there will be a requirement to work outside of normal hours (weekends/nights). Key Results/Accountabilities Ensuring that all construction activities are covered with a suitable and sufficient Method Statement and Risk Assessment and that this is clearly understood to all concerned. Control and issue of work permits on assigned projects/activities. Carry out inductions and toolbox talks as necessary. To interface with the design and procurement teams during the pre- construction phase To agree methodology for all aspects of the site including laydown areas, site cabins, welfare, cranage, waste control, cleaning To agree access to all work areas including coordination of trades to suit the agreed programme and methodology of project activities on a daily basis To agree snagging lists with the project manager and to expedite completion of snagging works by the work package contractors Work closely with the site engineering team to coordinate special permits and isolations for activities under their control. Control and coordination of all construction activities assigned to them including the control and coordination of all contractors associated with these activities. This applies equally to HSE and cGMP. Keeping the project manager informed at all times of both present and forth coming construction activities. Conduct regular site safety audits. Collation of all safety statistics. Ensure any site changes to scope are captured and advised to the project manager and the client. Ensure that the required standard of cGMP and EHS are anticipated, implemented, and maintained for all areas of responsibility. Promote and generate continuous improvement projects and initiatives. To support site HSE management with the generation or risk assessment including PUWER, operational and fire risk assessments. Skills, Experience & Knowledge Requirements At least 5 years' experience of construction supervision within an operational pharmaceutical environment. Have a recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH,etc).
