We have an opportunity for a Communications Specialist with our client based in York, who will lead on the development and implementation of communications strategies to support a number of key projects requiring dedicated communications input. This is a temporary contract to start immediately and you be required until the end of March 2021.The Communications Specialist will be expected to work as part of the Communications Team develop working relationships with key project leads within the research and development department and the capital planning team, as well as other senior leads in the organisation. They will also need to establish good working relationships with key stakeholders including partner organisations and local and regional media.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop, implement and evaluate communications plans to support key projectsWrite, edit and coordinate complex internal and external publications, including media releases articles, briefings, website copy and social media contentBrief journalists and respond to media queries, organise and manage media opportunities including the supervision of filming and photography on trust premisesProvide media and communications advice to staff at all levels and apply specialist skills and knowledge to advise and influence project teams regarding the communications and engagement elements of the project You will work remotely and as well as on-site.
