The role supports the work of two other CSOs to provide support across the work of three commissioners – Care Homes; Extra Care and Specialised Supported Housing; and Housing Related Support. The CSOs have a key role and provide appropriate and accurate information on which commissioners develop recommendations for critical Council decisions. Attention to detail and ability to work flexibly across a number of service areas is important for the role. A knowledge of commissioning and adult social care would be an advantage. With major reviews of Housing Related Support and the Extra Care and Specialised Supported Housing underway, this is a period of significant commissioning activity, presenting an opportunity for a new member of the team to get involved in some high profile and rewarding work which seeks to commission the most efficient services based on robust data and knowledge.
