Commercial Heating Engineer

Heating Engineer (Commercial)A new Commercial Heating Engineer is needed for our HVAC and M&E business that are based in Hertfordshire.The new Gas Engineer will be working in the HVAC department and so therefore be expected to work mainly commercial gas systems (the odd domestic systems).This new Service Engineer should have over 5 years experience of working out in the field as a Mobile Engineer and needs to hold a valid set of commercial gas tickets. Holding domestic gas tickets is useful, but not essential.Key Duties -• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports• Undertake service, maintenance, fault finding and emergency repair tasks and complete the associated paperwork.• Use handheld technology within the allocated timescales• Assist other team members when required or as directed from Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager• Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.• Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.• To be the "face of the company" when on site which means acting in the appropriate way, with the idea to forge & maintain excellent customer relations.• To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner• To comply with all Health and Safety policies and proceduresRequirements -• Qualified to City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation, Plumbing & Gas• 5+ years worth of experience of maintaining, servicing, fault finding on a variety of commercial heating equipment:- commercial boilers, large burners, air heaters & water heaters, radiant tube, ventilation, pumps, pipework & associated systems in a plant room.Candidates ideally should hold a DBS check OR have nothing to prevent them passing a new DBS check.Gas Safe qualifications inCOCN1, ICPN1, ICEA1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CORT1,CCN1 & CEN1 (Useful)Other attributes -• Able to effectively communicate (verbal & written)• Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults• Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.Salary £38,000 to £340,000 (with travel paid)Plus company vehicle & good overtime opportunityMonday to Friday 8am to 5pm
