Job Details Assistant Estimator - Taunton An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Estimator to join a reputable and growing commercial refurbishment and fit out company on a permanent basis. This company offer a concept to completion service and offer a range of bespoke and high end fit outs and refurbishments. As the Assistant Estimator, you will be supported by an experienced and established Estimator with the following duties: Responsibilities:Identifying and assessing what the client requiresCollate all required data/information to enable accurate estimateHelping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activitiesResearching the costs of materials, equipment and labourPreparing and submitting quotations for workMonitoring costs on projects as they proceedLiaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site manager, project managers and site engineersSkills:Estimating or Quantity Surveying experience is advantageous within constructionBeing able to assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and subcontract quotes Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations, estimating (including taking-off) and H&S High competence in Word and ExcelKnowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities desirableAn attractive salary is on offer with great incentives.
