Don’t delay - scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.- £50,000 The Assistant Construction Manager is responsible for supporting the Construction Manager in managing the Design and Construction of the Cody Park Data Centre project and associated infrastructure to the agreed budget, quality and programme; Generally: Supply chain management, project planning, delivery culture, project progress reporting, contract administration, risk management, health and safety compliance, quality, commissioning and project completion processes.Duties: Prepares and maintains the project directory Assists the CM with the preparation of the Project Execution Plan Assists the CM with the preparation and approval of the procurement strategy Carries out budgetary and programme monitoring and reporting Assists the CM and project team with the preparation of tender information / documents Inputs in to responding to RFI from contractors/suppliers/ designers Inputs into value engineering / cost saving exercises Attends project meetings and records key actions and circulates outputs Produces consolidated management reporting to the Construction Manager & Head of Construction, including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, summary of project costs /status.The latter will be in conjunction with the Ark appointed Cost Consultant Uses all reasonable skills and knowledge to ensure site project works including internal and contractor works meet design specifications and are carried out according to quality management procedures Sets up formats and systems and manages key project management functions including programming, tracking, project reporting, quality management and approvals Reviews project activities for compliance with procedures and standards Assists the CM with stakeholder management across all parties (Interface with Clients, Architects, Designers,Contractors, Suppliers and Third Parties) Reviews and identifies programme, technical and commercial risks associated with the project and maintains a project risk register Uses all reasonable skills and knowledge to ensure the site project works are carried out according to safety policy and procedures Supports the Cody Park Ark Construction Manager to deliver future Data Centre building phases on the Cody Park site Assist with the administration of the contract and the management of change in conjunction with the CM and the appointed Cost Consultant and project team Assists and supports the CM with the completion and handover processes accordance with the Ark procedures, including H&S files, O&M's and all required certification Assists the CM with preparing annotated plans and other documentation as required for stakeholder and contractor communications relating to major and minor works at Cody Park Assists the CM with the management of minor works, defect resolution works and construction activity in live buildings In conjunction with the project team lists completion snags / defects and ensure a programme is in place with the contractor/s to complete within agreed target dates Acts to appropriately and professionally address any areas of under-performance The position will be full time site based, in Farnborough, Hampshire If this role sounds of interest to you, please apply now.If you'd like a confidential conversation before making your application, please call Rob Pearson on 407719047533, or you can find the Construction Division Mobile number at the top of the Pearson Whiffin Recruitment website.
