Our Purpose – building better financial futures.To support the business as it goes through an exciting period of growth, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Company Secretary to join the Company Secretariat team. This is a temporary role and will be based at either our London or Manchester offices with some home working. Due to the current Pandemic this will initially be a home-based role.Arrow’s Company Secretariat team is responsible for driving best practice and continuous improvement across the Group and ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulations, legislation and industry standards. The post holder will be joining a dynamic and industrious team and the role offers the opportunity to work alongside talented, senior members of a fast paced agile organisation. There is also opportunity for progression, and strong performance will be quickly recognised and well rewarded.The RoleThe Assistant Company Secretary will work as part of the Secretariat team, supporting the group across several areas, including:Supporting the Company Secretary in developing and implementing a functioning strategy in line with that of the Group.Assist the Company Secretary in overseeing the Secretariat team.Assisting the Company Secretary with annual board effectiveness assessmentsFacilitating Board training, onboarding & inductions.Monitor external development on matters of corporate governance, regulation, legislation or similar that might affect the Group.Assume responsibility for the organisation of the AGM including the preparation and delivery of relevant shareholder documentation.Implement and oversee governance related to the Fund business within the Group.Assume accountability for the operation of the Group’s Employee Share Plan in collaboration with the Reward team.Oversee the teams management of statutory compliance & governance of all Group entities.Provide support to the Legal, Risk, Compliance and Finance teams regarding ad-hoc projects.Experience required for the role:Qualified or part qualified student of the ICSAPrior experience within a company secretarial function of a listed company, ideally within the financial services sectorStrong meetings experience would be highly desirableConfidence in deputising for Company Secretary where requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to engage at an executive levelAttention to detail and accuracy with strong organisational skills.What we can offer youWe offer a competitive salary and attractive benefits package and we pride ourselves on rewarding success with our excellent bonus scheme and incentive package.
