Job Title: Assistant Buyer Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Location: Bagshot Salary: £24,000Do you love Gardening? Our client are looking for someone with a passion for all things gardening to join their team as an Assistant Buyer. You will have previous office experience and intermediate Excel skills. You will be joining their Product Buying Team in delivering product categories across the business in terms of product ranging, pricing, promotional activity, and accurate product information. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Support the team in ensuring that all products offered are presented accurately across all sites in terms of image, pricing and stock availability. Work closely with the copywriters/suppliers to deliver appropriate and accurate product text and imagesTake responsibility for own product categories under the supervision of Product BuyerLiaise with suppliers to source product, pricing, and stock supply information Implement range review changes on the websites in conjunction with the Product Buyer Implement price changes and monitor margins, escalating issues to where requiredImplement promotions in conjunction with the Product Buyer/Ecommerce team with a high level of accuracy Update websites as required and highlight opportunities for improvement in terms of images/videos, text, promotions, linked products, and logosRun ad hoc reports when required to analyse product sales/margin and identify trends Responsible for stock ordering on a weekly basis where needed Conduct key competitor pricing reviews as required. Identifying range and pricing opportunities.
