A key element of the role will be to effectively collaborate with our Supply Chain Analyst and Shipping Department. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the management of suppliers including procurement of productsManage and develop supplier relationships building positive long-term relationships whilst considering business ethics, cross cultural and global issuesResponsible for the negotiating of pricing contracts and termsAssisting and supporting the creation of ad-hoc quotations for select customersCreation of orders onto systemLiaison with Business Systems Manager to proactively develop systemsMonitor, analyze and report on Supplier performance and non-compliance, presenting to senior managementSupport the Purchasing Director in undertaking due diligence of suppliers and ensure that new suppliers are recorded and registered on business systemsAssisting with the company’s goal of ensuring suppliers complete SEDEX/SMETA audits EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED Educated to degree or equivalent level in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, Economics or related fieldWorking knowledge of Microsoft Suite and proficient in Excel.Proven buying experience in UK & International wholesale market with a working knowledge of importing goods including currency and freight costsStrong commercial acumen including an awareness of container configurations and loadability of productsAwareness of compliance e.g. UKTR/FSC/ISO9001/SMETAPrevious experience of working with a product/category portfolio of over 2000 SKU’s including multi-component productsPrevious experience of preparation of cost analysesExcellent analytical and organisational skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skillsDemonstrate expertise in written communication for contacts where English is the second languageAbility to multi-task and perform under pressureHave strong commercial awareness of product development and an interest to develop this further Previous experience of working within the UK Construction IndustryDeveloping knowledge of technical aspects of door construction/finishing Thank you for your application.
