Specification Sales Manager - Roofing and Waterproofing Job Title: Area Technical Sales Manager - Roofing and WaterproofingIndustry Sectors: Refurbishment, Commercial new build, architects, local authorities, housing associations, refurbishment surveyors, building surveyors, building owners, roofing contractors & main contractorsArea to be covered: Kent & East Sussex Based: South London, Kent & Sussex a) Commercial new build Area Technical Sales Manager b) Refurbishment Area Technical Sales Manager Remuneration: DOE + Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Specification Sales Manager Roofing & Waterproofing systems will involve: Field sales position promoting; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc.a) majority of tie winning specifications with local authorities, building surveyors, refurbishment surveyors and building ownersb) majority of time winning specifications with architects, local authorities, building surveyors and building ownersRemainder of time dealing with main contractors and approved roofing contractorsResponsible for a) 900,000 or b) £1.25m territory, our client is performing well in the current economic climateInheriting a significant project bank which will help you to achieve next years sales targetInheriting a pipeline of live projects and projects going through the tender processa) focussing on refurbishment projectsb) Focusing on new build commercial projects only such as: schools, public buildings, factories, block of flats etc.Vacancy has arisen due to this area being split in two following incumbent retiring after 11 years on patchProduct training will be provided The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Roofing & Waterproofing systems with: Proven track record of field sales within the roofing industry (ideally flat roofing)Will also consider building envelope associated products such as cladding, EWI etc.Specification sales experience of a technical building product with either a) architects, local authorities, building surveyors or building owners/ end users OR b) local authorities, building surveyors & building owners/ end usersSurveying knowledge/ experience may be usefulWaterproofing experience is not essential, full product training will be providedIdeally strong commercial new build construction industry experienceWants to learn mentalityCommercially aware and hungryRoofing contractor/ main contractor relationships are not essential The Company: Est. 50 years+150+ employees£50m+ turnoverBrand name in the flat roofing and waterproofing marketplace If your experience matches the requirements above please do not hesitate to contact Mitchell Maguire, simply apply by forwarding us a copy of your CV.
