Area Construction Manager

Competitive salary + bonus + company car and fuel card or car allowance + benefits We are currently recruiting for an Area Construction Manager to join our dynamic Construction team within our Yorkshire region where our operating area spans across the entire region from North to South Yorkshire. This is an exciting role and opportunity for either an experienced Contracts Manager or Construction Manager wanting to make their move into a quality driven business that is Avant Homes. As our Area Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our unique, high specification homes from a construction point of view. high target driven performance along with effective leadership and management oversight of your site teams enabling them to focus on the delivery of units and the customer journey across all developments under your responsibility. You will be accountable for all site build related matters ensuring that as a business we deliver the highest quality homes in alignment with our Good.Better.Different ethos. Key duties and requirements • To hold regular and productive planning and programme performance review meetings with sales, commercial and technical colleagues • Consistently monitor and report on build resources and costs to ensure they are controlled and in budget • Ensure Site Managers are aware of build performance and completion targets, quality standards, site budgets, prelims and allowances, valuations and cost variations and are operating to Avant standards and requirements. • Provide construction reports, forecast information and KPI updates to the Construction Director as well as operational feedback affecting the performance of developments • Ensure the right number and quality of staff are recruited onto site and that active training and performance management is undertake to ensure staff and sub-contractors are fully competent, coordinated and motivated to achieve best performance. Who are we looking for? To be successful as our Area Construction Manager, you will hold previous experience within either a Senior Site Manager, Contracts Manager or Construction Manager role and you will also have excellent team management, leadership and coaching skills. To be considered for this role you must also possess; • A full UK driving licence • A relevant qualification or broad experience in construction • Proven multi-site project management and quality assurance effectiveness • Excellent Commercial awareness and technical knowledge • Understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build. • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Organised and structured with an eye for detail • Excellence management and coaching skills • Knowledge of codes of practice that impact on build
