An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Distribution team for an Administration Assistant to join us at our Preston Site on a 3 month fixed term contract. The main purpose of this role will be to provide support and assistance with the daily administrative duties within the department. Your Key tasks and responsibilities will be: Processing daily shipments when prompted by the Transport team, via M3 operating system. Checking each shipment to spot any errors or missing contact information prior to uploading to the Arrow XL portal. Uploading shipments via Excel spreadsheet to the Arrow XL online portal. Print shipment labels to allow the warehouse to pick and dispatch boilers for next day delivery. Update and change status of all next day deliveries to ‘despatched’, via The Edge online portal, when shipments are complete. Print an end of day manifest for all next day deliveries. Responding to queries received via email and through the Edge portal. Retrieve proof of delivery documents when requested. Ensuring discrepancies surrounding next day deliveries are managed promptly. Maintain regular contact with Transport, Warehouse and Sales colleagues. Assist the Warehouse team in generating and printing courier dispatch labels. Knowledge, experience and qualifications required: Good interpersonal skills Sound literacy and numeracy skills Good computer skills, including knowledge of: Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to work well independently or as a team Ability to understand system processes and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
