Accounts Assistant - Brighouse

IPS Finance are working with an established manufacturing business based in Brighouse who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the purchase and sales ledger functions and payroll processing. You will also be involved across the month-end processes. Some duties will include: PURCHASE LEDGER Ensure invoices and payments are processed timely and accurately within the month end timetable.Oversee supplier deliveries queries to ensure they are monitored, reviewed and resolved in a timely mannerManage pre-payments and accruals BANKING Keep all transactions updated in the Cash Book and Daily cash flow using Barclays Online Banking FacilityAssist with daily banking and statement reconciliations.Set up new accounts including credit checksCredit control - chase debtors at regular periods, using Sage to print statements HMRC DUTIES Paying TAX/NI, undertake quarterly VAT returnsCompleting EC sales list on quarterly basis for EC exportsCompleting Intrastat forms on monthly basis for EC importsReconcile international bank accounts and SageEnsure all records relating to month end have been posted and correct PAYROLL Running 4 weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll and issuing wage slips SALES ORDER PROCESSING Processing product ordersProcessing invoices for all sales transactions; general bookkeeping duties. You will have experience across sales and purchase ledger. Ideally you will have Sage experience and good Excel skills.
